I started out to be one of those kids that would go to local events and be completely star struck by the local pros. For the past 5 years I have completely emmersed myself into wakeboarding. I love the feeling that I get from riding and I love the feeling that I get from capturing the movement of the sport. On my 16th birthday my mom bought me my first camera, a JVC mini DV point and shoot with 16 optical, 5000 digital zoom and pop out 3 inch LCD screen. From then on throughout the upcoming summers my friends and I filled our day with recording everything we did, driving, going to the store, wakeboarding, ect. Our nights were spent logging our recent footage from the day. Back then I used Pinnacle Pro 7.0, it didnt have much to offer but it definately got us started. By the end of my first summer with that camera we pieced a video together made up of wakeboarding, timelaps, tube shots where we wrapped the camera up in selafane and ducktape, chase boats, and we even made a slider out of a canoe and piled up rocks.
