I recently made my first purchase in a long time from Northwest Riders. Like everyone my one and only sponsor feels the pressure from the economy but that is not to deture them from coming out with cool new awesome things like there new flat billed hats. They call it the Hank Mardukas and it is one of the most comfortable flat bills I have ever wore. Flat bills dont normally fit me very well due to my enormous head, but with this one I have no problems. They come in black and grey with a big NWR logo off centered to the right. If you dont have one you should definately go and pick one up.
Rawsome
•November 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentI just saw this video on alliancewakeskate.com and it is awesome. Im not normally one to like wakeskating to much unless its a select few riders. This video is shot in Texas with Clint Tompkins and his cronies. Apparently the awesomeness of a red camera was there to capture the magic. The colors and the speed changes are amazing in this, not to mention the cool ass graphics in the end. I need to learn how to do that.
I am not a robot
•November 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentI dont know what it is about this song but I really like it. It kinda has the same feel of Frou Frou or Imogen Heap. This is Marina and the Diamonds, aparently she had to go through a grueling 16 hour shoot which involved three full body paint jobs and required Marina to memorize and perform the song’s vocals in reverse. The whole reverse thing gives you a kind of cool effect to make the movement look a little unnatural. I did this alot peep it fo sho.
Webb’ed Reef
•October 31, 2009 • Leave a CommentThe past couple of days I have been coming over to JD Webbs house to get some filming done and get my shred on. The lake here is amazing, deep with no one on it so its prime for shredding. He recently got a box of sandles and ended up giving me a pair. Although my feet at 12s and all he had were 10s I am still able to get my feet in there. After only two days of wearing them they are streched out nicely and formed to my foot. I really like his Reef sandle because it is a no gimmick kind of sandle. No bottle opener, flask, or stash spots in these babys, just a classic comfortable Reef sandle. He told me that they are discontinuing his line unfortunately due to cut backs, so get to your proshop as soon as you can and snatch up a pair before they are all gone.
Defy-nately
•October 30, 2009 • Leave a CommentThe past two days I have been filming with Sean Kilgus for his new video DEFY. It is a video that is focused around Danny Harf and its going to be nothing but amazing. We were shooting the two days out at a secret lake which is as blue as Hawaii water and no one else is there. Its cool to be out in the woods with no houses on the water and once that boat engine stops its silent. It feels like I am in the back country for a snowboard shoot. No body else except for the people working on the project, no other distractions, just everyone pushing eachother to get some bangers. If I could shoot every single day like that I would. I am really excited to keep working on this project. Danny and Sean really want to do this video right, like “Thats it Thats All” style. Me=Stoked!
Droidoes
•October 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentFor so long now the iPhones have dominated the airwaves with there awesome apps and there touch screens. It looks like Verizon has finally tried to get something together to beat the iphone. Apparently it is the Motorola Droid. There have been a few comecials out that seem you be bashing the iphone and telling what the new verizon phone will have. For a long time now i have longed for an iPhone for one the internet on it is amazing and the apps are also amazing. having your phone be everything in one really makes things more convinient and fun to show off to your friends. It looks like the droid will have a touch screen, it has multi apps ability, a 5 mega pixel camera, widgets, and night vision…..all signs point to awesome? Only time will tell with the droid due out in November….hopefully the dont mess it up.
Hardcore Parkour
•October 29, 2009 • 1 CommentParkour, the art of movement. My brothers friends have been into parkour for a long time now. Back when I was in middle school they would show me all of these videos of them doing crazy stunts from one object to another. It seems that lately this urban sport has been getting alot of attention lately. A few episodes ago on the office they were hardcore parkouring around the place. Now MTV has a tv show on it hosted by some of the Nitro Circus guys. We watched it for the first time here at club 506 and it was actually pretty entertaining. There we alot of good crashes and some amazing gaps that these guys did. Imagine jumping 25 feet from a rooftop with a flip and then landing on solid ground and keep going. I just found a quick little article in the seattle times saying that there are now parkour classes for the public including kids…kind of like gymnastics class. Pretty soon here no one is going to use elevators or stairs, they are just going to jump from place to place. Sorry about the video quality for this……and the horrible song.
Im not apart of your system

•October 28, 2009 • Leave a CommentIts official, there will be a Boondock Saints II. I have heard rumblings for years about there being a second one coming out but never saw anything until today. THE BOONDOCK SAINTS II: ALL SAINTS DAY is the continuation of writer/director Troy Duffys tough MacManus brothers. While in hiding with their father, Il Duce, the brothers learn that a beloved priest has been killed by sinister forces from deep within the mob and return to Boston to mount a violent and bloody crusade to bring justice to those responsible. I just really hope they dont mess this one up because the first one is going to be hard to beat.
Pioneers Oh Pioneers
•October 28, 2009 • Leave a CommentLevis has some pretty intriguing commercials out lately. One of them features the poem Pioneers! O Pioneers! It is a poem by the American poet Walt Whitman. It was first published in 1865. The poem was written as a tribute to Whitman’s fervor for the great Westward expansion in the United States that led to things like the California Gold Rush and exploration of the far west. It’s amazing how significant change inspires people. Imagine exploring America for the first time. Imagine all of the beautiful things, like Yellow Stone, the Grand Canyon, and the Redwoods. So much of this isnt really thought of in this day and age. I read the rest of this poem and it is amazing you should definitely check it out.
